How to donate supplies
Supporting our Wildlife First Aid Station is easy!
Browse our list of essential supplies and choose an item(s) you’d like to donate. Each card includes a link to an example product to help you identify the exact item or type of material we need.
You are welcome to purchase the item from any shop or online retailer you prefer!
The links provided are indicative and are intended to clarify our specific requirements.
Once you’ve chosen your item(s), arrange for delivery directly to our station in Naxos using the delivery details below. Please check that the retailer delivers to Naxos, Greece if you purchase from an online shop abroad, and contact us beforehand about specialist products or larger equipment.

Nitrile examination gloves
Type: Medical
Amount needed: 2
Used daily for safe handling, examinations, wound care, cleaning tasks, with glove changes between animals and procedures as appropriate.

Sterile gauze pads
Type: Medical

Used for wound care and other appropriate first-aid procedures.

Cohesive bandage rolls
Type: Medical
Amount needed: 10
Provides support and stability to fractures, sprains and soft tissue injuries. Helps protect wounds and keep dressings in place without sticking to skin or feathers.

Medical tape
Type: Medical

Used to secure bandages, stabilize fractured wings, secure catheters.

Heavy duty garbage bags
Type: Hygiene

Used for daily cleaning and waste collection at First Aid Station and in the aviaries. Also used to carry and transport food for carnivorous animals in our care.

Dish soap
Type: Hygiene

Used for daily cleaning of kitchen utensils and food-preparation equipment.

Laundry detergent

Used for washing of towels, blankets and reusable fabrics used to provide warmth, comfort and clean resting areas for injured, sick or recovering wild animals.

Specifications: ~2 Lt, Liquid detergent, fragrance-free, eco-certified products are preferred.
Paper towels (Kitchen rolls)
Type: Hygiene

Used for routine cleaning, drying of tools and equipment etc.
Price range: 1-2 Euros/roll
Specifications: plain, unscented and preferably unprinted.
Wild Songbird Food
Type: Food

Feeding of wild granivorous (seed-eating) birds (i.e. House Sparrows, Pigeons, Goldfinches) during rehabilitation. Must be suitable for wild birds (quality varied seed mix).

Urgent care food for carnivorous animals
Type: Food
Amount needed: 10
Used for nutritional support of debilitated, injured or recovering carnivorous wild animals, such as hedgehogs, beech martens and raptors, when appropriate for their individual dietary needs.
Price range: ~4.5 Euros/tin (200 g)

Food for insectivores
Type: Food

Used for nutritional support of insectivorous wild animals (i.e. Bee-eaters, Skylarks, warblers) during rehabilitation.

Specifications: Must by suitable for wildlife. Two options are provided.
Reptile heat pad (Adjustable temperature)
Type: Animal Care
Amount needed: 2
Used to provide controlled external heat during first aid, stabilization and rehabilitation of reptiles, including small-sized sea turtles and terrestrial reptiles, and other wildlife when supplemental warming is indicated.
Price range: ~50-54 Euros
Specifications: Must have separate thermostat. Preferably medium-sized pad (20×30 cm)
Animal bedding (wood shavings)
Type: Animal Care
Amount needed: 3
Used for providing suitable substrate and comfortable bedding in temporary enclosures for rescued rodents, hedgehogs and selected reptiles.
Price range: 5-6 Euros/60 Lt
Specifications: Must be free from chemical treatments, artificial fragrances and additives. Preferably dust-extracted.
Every donation makes a difference
Every year, wild animals across Naxos and the Cyclades need our help. From a small migratory songbird needing a safe place to recover to a sea turtle requiring months of rehabilitation, every animal depends on the care, time and resources we can provide.
The supplies on this list help us keep our rescue station clean, provide appropriate food and comfortable bedding, deliver first aid, and give injured and recovering wildlife the best possible chance of returning home, to the wild.
A pack of gauze, a bag of bird food, a bottle of detergent, or even a few clean, second-hand towels can help us care for the animals that need us.
Towels are among our most frequently used items, which provide bedding and comfort, help us handle animals safely and cushioning them during transport. If you have clean towels, sheets or pillowcases at home you no longer need, we’d love to give them a second life in wildlife rehabilitation!
