Three juvenile sea turtles at Naxos Wildlife Protection's First Aid Station 💚

🐢Maroula/Little Mary's Rescue Story - a victim of marine pollution

For the past few days, we had been receiving reports from swimmers at Plaka Beach, Naxos, about an injured sea turtle, but, despite our efforts, we had been unable to locate her.

A juvenile loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta) was found trapped inside a plastic sack on the island of Serifos.

The surprise nest at Agios Prokopios has successfully hatched! 🐢💚

Little Nausika is the green sea turtle who was found in Amorgos two weeks ago, suffering from injuries and a partial amputation of her front flipper caused by fishing line entanglement.

A chain of caring people came together, stretching from the island of Kea all the way to Naxos, for one injured and exhausted flamingo. 🦩
